2025 HELLA GOOD DEEDS LAUNCH | LUNAR NEW YEAR NIGHT MARKET

On January 25, 2025 we hosted our Hella Good Deeds official launch party as well as rang in the Year of the Snake with our 2nd annual Asian Night Market.

2025 AANHPI Heritage Festival | The Art of Being AANHPI

Celebrating AANHPI culture at the beautiful Zhou B Art Center on the last day of AANHPI Heritage Month, we welcomed the biggest crowd, new performances, vendors, and activations...including our very first Art Gallery curated by our very own Lauri Pham.

2025 MID-AUTUMN WELLNESS FAIR

Our first Mid-Autumn Wellness Fair was a wonderful day of cultural performances, health and wellness resources, kids activities, and community care. Families and friends shared in the festivities while enjoying complimentary services and celebrating the Mid-Autumn Moon.

2024 LUNAR NEW YEAR | YEAR OF THE DRAGON

We had a record number of lions dancing in the street for Lunar New Year during the day at Café Cà Phê, and celebrated into the night with an Asian Night Market in the West Bottoms.

2024 AANHPI HERITAGE FESTIVAL | AANHPIDENTITY

For our 4th annual AANHPI celebration, we were honored to have the newly opened CPKC Stadium, home of the Kansas City Current, serve as the venue for our festivities and show their love and support for the Asian community.

2024 MID-AUTUMN MOON FESTIVAL

A more intimate celebration this year, we made paper lanterns to officially open the newly built back deck of Café Cà Phê, and reminded everyone to take in the gorgeous full moon.

2024 Inaugural Asian Social Hour/Hella Good Deeds Soft Launch

An Asian + Allies Social Hour hosted at Made Mobb where we soft launch Hella Good Deeds, and shared our mission and vision to the public for the first time.

2023 LUNAR NEW YEAR | YEAR OF THE CAT

Pho Hien Lion Dance Troupe putting on a spectacular traditional dance to wish everyone a Happy Year of the Cat at Made Mobb. Asian vendors sold food, goods, and kids got to make their own Li Xi. Once completed, we gifted them with a crisp dollar bill, symbolizing good fortune for the upcoming year.

2023 AAPI HERITAGE FESTIVAL | AAPIconic

Third annual AAPI celebration at Columbus Park that included a fashion show for AAPI descendants to strut their stuff proudly wearing their culture's traditional attire, in addition to providing the space for the community to support Asian-owned businesses.

2023 MID-AUTUMN MOON FESTIVAL

Held at 12th Street Post, where we had Asian-owned small businesses pop up, made lanterns with guests of all ages, and sang traditional lantern songs.

The White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders

Gathered Asian stakeholders in the greater Kansas City metro to convene at the WHIAANHPI to hear from federal officials on how to uplift the Asian community in the Unites States.

Ringing in the Lunar New Year at The Nelle by creating a space for Asian-owned small businesses to pop-up, telling the story of Emperor Jade and the Great Race, handing Li Xi to all the children in attendance, and enjoying traditional and contemporary cultural performances.

Following our advocacy the year prior with the city of Kansas City and the state of Missouri declaring May as AAPI Heritage Month, we put our second AAPI celebration for our community. GRAND OPENING OF CAFÉ CÀ PHÊ'S BRICK AND MORTAR

Ribbon cutting for Kansas City's first Vietnamese coffeeshop Café Cà Phê, where Hella Good Deeds started out a Community Outreach Program.

2022 MID-AUTUMN MOON FESTIVAL

Our first community event following Café Cà Phê's grand opening. Having this event on-site was so special, and we took in the significance by sharing bite-sized mooncakes and Harvest moon activities.

STOP ASIAN HATE VIGIL

During the height of the Stop Asian Hate movement, we organized a vigil to honor the victims of the Atlanta spa shootings. This vigil gave our community a safe space to grieve together and find solace in one another.

2021 ASIAN AMERICAN, NATIVE HAWAIIAN, AND PACIFIC ISLANDER HERITAGE MONTH

Making history in the midwest by celebrating the city of Kansas City's resolution to officially declare May as AAPI Heritage Month (prior to the 2024 addition of Native Hawaiian).
